The "Gitschberg" activities:

• Tuesday 21-02-2012: Do you fancy a walk after dinner? Why don’t accompany Mrs. Peintner after dinner at 9.00 pm at a small hike with romantic lantern light? At our return we’ll warm up with a hot spiced wine.
• Wednesday 22-02-2012: Discover with Elke Meransen’s snow-covered woods on snow shoes. Our excursion will take us after a two – hours - walk to the Refuge Großberg in the romantic Valley Altfasstal.
• Thursday 23-02-2012: Toboggan ride with Mr. Peintner. We walk for 1,5 hours to reach the refuge Moser Alm, where we warm ourselves with drinks before the descent on the sledges.

What's up in the holiday region Gitschberg Jochtal:

• Sunday 19-02-2012: Carnival Warm-Up-Party at the Tavern "Alte Schmiede". Every disguised guest receives an apertif for free.
• Monday 20-02-2012: Traditional ball of the ski instructors in the Pub Nevada. Free entrance.
• Monday 20-02-2012: Torch hike to the Refuge Großberg. Walk through wintry woods into the Valley of Altfass reaching the Refuge after 30 minutes. The participants are picked up at the hotel. Participation fee: € 7,00 including a hot spiced wine, a torch and the return snowmobile.
• Tuesday 21-02-2012: Snow shoe hike on the fabulous mountain pasture of Rodengo starting at 10.00 am. Participation fee: € 16,00 including equipment.
• Tuesday 21-02-2012: Carnivals ski race, the best costume and performance are going to be awarded.
• Tuesday 21-02-2012: „Dance of the vampires“. The gondola in Vals operates during the evening and takes you to the refuge Jochtal at 2.000 m at the vampire’s disco night. Participation fee: € 5,00 including a drink.
• Wednesday 22-02-2012: Sleigh ride through the winter landscape of Meransen. Participation fee: € 10,00.
• Wednesday 22-02-2012: Night skiing with flood light at the ski lift Brunner in Meransen. Fee: € 6,00.
• Wednesday 22-02-2012: Nightly tobogganing under floodlight at the illuminated piste of Valles.

All important events in the surroundings:

• Friday 23-02-2012: Plose Friday Night Fever: The slope up to the Plose is open for ski trekkers and snow shoe hikers. The cabin works until 11 pm to carry up tobogganers, who can luge down onto the longest ride of South Tyrol. http://www.plose.org/en/winter-2/tobogganing/friday-night-fever.html
